Pilotis. Support de construction composé d'un ensemble de pilots solidarisés par des moises. Les pilotis sont établis dans les terrains meubles et aquifères, pour porter des ouvrages qui concernent, le plus souvent les travaux publics, tels que des piles de ponts. Après avoir été foncés dans le sol, les pilots sont arasés ou recépés tous au même niveau, pour recevoir un quadrillage de madriers ou de longrines sur lesquels repose la construction.
