Modification du rapport isotopique carbone 14/carbone 12 due à une diminution de la tumeur atmosphérique en carbone 14 causée par les émissions anthropiques de dioxyde de carbone des combustibles fossiles.

CONT

Seules les émissions de CO2 des combustibles fossiles ont pour effet de diluer la concentration en carbone 14 dans l'atmosphère (effet Suess). Cette réduction de la teneur relative en carbone (C14) est estimée à 2 % entre 1850 et 1950. Les mesures ultérieures sont perturbées par les rejets des essais nucléaires dans l'atmosphère.
