Record 1, Textual support, English
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
The pedal on the right is called the sustain pedal or damper pedal and the function is the same on both a grand piano and an upright. The dampers are the mechanism that stops the strings from vibrating. Depressing the damper pedal causes all the dampers to lift off the strings thus sustaining the sound and allowing the sounds to blend together. 2, record 1, English, - damper%20pedal
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS
The sustaining pedal is sometimes erroneously called the loud pedal. 5, record 1, English, - damper%20pedal

2, record 1, French, - p%C3%A9dale%20forte
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT

Record 1, Textual support, Spanish
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 DEF
4, record 1, Spanish, - pedal%20derecho
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
3, record 1, Spanish, - pedal%20derecho
