  • Skating
CONT

The easiest method is the T-stop. It is a simple process of touching the non-skating blade lightly on the ice behind the skating blade. The two skates are thus in the shape of the letter T. The same result can be achieved by putting the non-skating blade in front of the other. The movement has to be smooth, not sudden.

CONT

The fundamental T-stop used by beginners for coming to a halt. The inside edge of the non-skating blade is dragged gently on the ice just behind the heel of the skating blade.
