... the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency is responsible for targeting and examining all the containers that arrive at Canada's ports, regardless of the container's ultimate destination. Canadian targeters perform an intensive examination of ships' manifests, bills of lading, and other important documents to identify high-risk containers for examination. Dedicated Container and Pier examination teams perform examinations using the latest contraband technology, including x-ray and ion mobility spectrometers.
