TARTRATE STABILIZATION [1 record]

Record 1 2006-07-10

English

Subject field(s)
  • Viticulture
  • Winemaking
OBS

Tartaric stabilization has become common practice (particularly at cold temperatures) and avoids the eventual crystal tartaric deposits at the bottom of a bottle (which has no consequence to the wine).

OBS

stabilization: a process that clears a wine of tartrates ... and small protein particles that might cause it to be cloudy or contain small crystals.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Viticulture
  • Industrie vinicole
OBS
