Poids Total Volant (ou Poids Total en Vol) C'est le poids de l'ensemble «pilote + sellette + voile». Quand on dit pilote, on compte habits, casque et accessoires. Le PTV est une des caractéristiques techniques d'une voile. Le constructeur définit une fourchette de poids dans lequel le pilote doit se trouver pour voler au meilleur des performances de la voile.
