[...] procédé de précipitation entièrement acétique. Selon ce procédé, après dissolution des combustibles dans l'acide nitrique bouillant, une première séparation de l'uranium et du plutonium est réalisée par précipitation sous forme d'acétates, après neutralisation de l'acide nitrique par la soude. Ce procédé génère ainsi une solution constituée d'un mélange de nitrate et d'acétate de sodium (dont les concentrations peuvent atteindre 100 et 90 g/L), contenant la totalité des produits de fission, hormis les radioéléments volatils (iode, gaz rares) libérés pendant la dissolution, ainsi que de petites quantités résiduelles d'uranium et de plutonium.
