The objectives of this organization, which is established in Vancouver, British Columbia, are to help the people of the Himalayas to help themselves; to aid in poverty alleviation by giving basic health care, education for employement, skills, tools and basic inputs for agricultural development; to promote environmentally sound development by fostering understanding for conservation and ecologically sustainable development; to foster and strengthen the links between Canadians and the people of the Himalayas through non-government agencies.
