Augmentation progressive des quantités d'ozone dans la troposphère par rapport au niveau de fond habituellement présent.

OBS

La nature de l'ozone ne favorise pas une accumulation de longue durée, particulièrement dans la haute atmosphère. Dans la troposphère, surtout au-dessus des centrales électriques, on assiste parfois à une augmentation de la concentration normale pouvant aller jusqu'à dix pour cent. L'accumulation d'ozone est à l'origine des smogs, épisodes particulièrement dangereux de pollution atmosphérique.
