The purpose of the UNESCO Commissary is to make available to UNESCO staff and assimilated personnel the supplies and services procured by it. The operations of the Commissary are on a non-profit marking basis. The Commissary is an integral part of the Secretariat. As such it is subject to the authority of the Director-General.
