OBS

The Unitarian Service Committee of Canada (USC Canada) is a non-profit, non-denominational, voluntary organization committed to the enhancement of human development through an international partnership of people linked in the challenge to eradicate poverty. Founded in 1945 by the late Dr Lotta Hitschmanova, USC's early mandate was to undertake relief and reconstruction activities in war-ravaged countries in Europe. Over the years USC's work has evolved to focus almost entirely on long-term, sustainable development programs. USC Canada currently supports programs in Nepal, Indonesia/East Timor, Bangladesh, Mali and Lesotho. USC projects are centred around a number of important development issues including food security, environment, community development, income generation for women and training and education.
