For the planned removing of material so-called suction excavators have been developed, in which with the aid of a fan a vacuum is produced and the material can be suctioned through an elephant trunk into a storage tank, where the suction material is separated from the suction air flow, while filtering out dust or other particles contained in the conveying air, before the latter is blown out at the fan outlet side. 2, record 1, English, - vacuum%20excavator

ExcaVac vacuum digging unit replaces hand-digging and shovel crews on railway tracks - many times faster... ExcaVac on construction sites. Attached to a hydraulic excavator or truck with loading boom, ExcaVac replaces shovel work on utility trenches. ExcaVac does not damage cables or pipes. The vacuum unit can handle up to 10 m³ of soil within one hour under normal conditions.
