Groupes de localités où un ensemble cohérent de mesures visant à accroître la productivité et la production de l'agriculture sont mises en œuvre depuis 1952.

L'évolution et la mécanisation de l'agriculture. En 1954, notre secteur bénéficiait d'un avantage appelé «zone témoin» grâce à Claudius Delorme sénateur. Il se créait un groupement de productivité qui bénéficiait d'avantages importants : subventions, prêts à taux réduits, assistance d'un technicien pour changer les méthodes de production : prairies artificielles, nouvelles variétés de céréales, amélioration du cheptel et surtout mécanisation.

27 zones témoins ont été choisies, englobant chacune, en moyenne, 3 ou 4 communes et de 150 à 200 exploitations agricoles.
