Les lampes à vapeur de mercure à haute pression fournissent les radiations qui constituent la «lumière noire». Il est également possible d'utiliser des lampes fluorescentes spéciales [...] Dans les deux cas, il est utile de filtrer ces émissions pour les obtenir sélectivement dans la seule région utile. Selon certains ouvrages, entre autres l'Encyclopaedia universalis (UNIVE), 1968, vol. 16, p. 461 et Le grand Larousse encyclopédique (LAROG2), 2007, vol. 2 (sous l'entrée «lumière»), «lumière noire» et «lumière de Wood» seraient synonymes, alors que dans UNIVE, 1968, vol. 10, p. 148 on trouve une mise en garde contre l'emploi de ces deux termes en synonymie. Selon cette source, la «lumière de Wood» est dite parfois très improprement «lumière noire». À la lumière des ouvrages consultés et des diverses définitions de «lumière noire» et de «lumière de Wood», il apparaît évident que ces deux termes ne sont pas synonymes mais que le second est spécifique par rapport au premier. 3, record 1, French, - lumi%C3%A8re%20de%20Wood
