The Commission on Narcotic Drugs decided in principle to establish the working group, under the auspices of the UNDCP [United Nations International Drug Control Programme], a.s.a.p. following the 37th session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs, to promote universal implementation of the relevant provisions of the 1988 Convention or equivalent measures, in order to further enhance international cooperation.
