The Domestic Violence Glossary (common law) is now available online!

The publication of this glossary is part of an initiative to standardize common law terminology in French with the goal of promoting access to justice in both official languages.

The Domestic Violence Glossary (common law) covers over 150 concepts in the field of domestic violence and is based on the term-analysis documents prepared by the Standardization Committee members to standardize the French equivalents.

Newly updated Guide on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Terminology

Almost two years after the publication of the first version of the Guide on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Terminology, the work continues. What is a “Knowledge Keeper”? How do you define a “courageous conversation space”? And just what distinguishes a “deaf person” from a “Deaf person” (with a capital “D”)? Check out the Guide on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Terminology to find out!

Work on the Guide has also prompted an update of the Gender and Sexual Diversity Glossary, which now covers 155 concepts. It’s worth a look!
