In using the graphic method of rotation the main objects are to eliminate negative loadings and to describe the data by as few non-zero loadings as possible. The aims of the varimax method are somewhat similar. The factors are rotated in such a way that the new loadings tend to be either relatively large or relatively small in absolute magnitude compared with the original ones. This is accomplished (...) by maximising a certain function of the squares of the loadings, the procedure being iterative. In Kaiser's original method the factors were rotated in pairs until the loadings converged to their final values. 1, record 2, English, - Varimax%20method

1, record 2, French, - m%C3%A9thode%20Varimax
