A study in Germany showed that face-to-face interviews recorded less incidents of victimization as opposed to written (postal) surveys. Reports also document rather unpredictable effects. When a switch was made from face-to-face interviewing to CATI [Computer Assisted Telephone Interview] in the international crime victim survey carried out in Spain and Northern Ireland in 2005, the results showed a substantial decrease of victimization rates in Spain and an equally substantial increase in Northern Ireland. There is little way of knowing whether and to what extent the new interview mode has affected these changes 2, record 2, English, - international%20victimization%20survey

1, record 51, French, - immersion%20%C3%A0%20grande%20profondeur%20dans%20les%20oc%C3%A9ans

Tenth and last province to enter the Canadian Confederation on March 23, 1949; its territory comprises an insular portion, the Island of Newfoundland, and a continental one, Labrador, attached to the province of Quebec. With the royal assent of December 6, 2001, officially amending the Constitution of Canada and making effective the law previously adopted by the House of Commons, the name of the province was changed from "Newfoundland" (abbreviation: "Nfld.") to "Newfoundland and Labrador" (abbreviation: "N.L."), thus approving the name and abbreviation determined by the provincial Cabinet. 3, record 63, English, - Newfoundland%20and%20Labrador

The name of a province and its form, spelling and abbreviation are to be decided by the provincial toponymy authority, with the agreement of the Government of Canada. One uses "province of Newfoundland and Labrador" for the geographical entity, "Province of Newfoundland and Labrador" for the provincial administration, "Newfoundland and Labrador" as the short form, and "N.L." as the abbreviation. Note the absence of hyphenation and the abbreviation without a space between the two elements abbreviated by their initial letter with a period, as the rule requires in English. When used alone, "Labrador" is abbreviated by "Lab.". The new designation "Newfoundland and Labrador" remains singular because the entity is still a unit. 3, record 63, English, - Newfoundland%20and%20Labrador

This symbol is the same in all languages and must be used only in postal addresses and statistical charts where the identification of provinces and territories is restricted to two characters. A two-character provincial symbol must not be used instead of the abbreviation in a text or on a geographical map, a poster or a road sign. In 1991, in order to publicize Japan’s regime of enforced prostitution during the Second World War, activists started to collect data about the women victims of sexual slavery. After 50 years of silence, women survivors, in their 70s and 80s, came forward to demand justice and redress. One of the main outcomes of this lengthy and sustained documentation work was the Women’s International War Crimes Tribunal on Japanese Military Sexual Slavery. The Tokyo Tribunal, as it came to be called, was held in December 2000 in Tokyo. The Tribunal was attended by 70 victims and more than 1100 participants. The final judgment was passed in December 2001, at a Women’sInternational Tribunal held in The Hague, Netherlands. 1, record 66, English, - Women%27s%20International%20War%20Crimes%20Tribunal%20on%20Japanese%20Military%20Sexual%20Slavery

Founded by eight states (Belgium, France, Germany,Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Switzerland, United Kingdom) in 1964, the European Pharmacopoeia has the task of laying down common standards for the composition and preparation of substances used in the manufacture of medicines -- and so guaranteeing their quality. The Pharmacopoeia has 26 member states, in which its "monographs" have force of law, replacing the old national pharmacopoeias. It is recognised as one of the main authorities on quality and safety of medicines, and its co-operation with the European Union has resulted in the setting-up of a scientific research programme to standardise biological medicines, and an official network of medicine control laboratories (OMCL). This pooling of expertise helps to ensure that the same quality standards are guaranteed throughout Europe. 2, record 73, English, - European%20Pharmacopoeia

1, record 73, French, - Pharmacop%C3%A9e%20europ%C3%A9enne

The War of the Grand Alliance, also known as the War of the League of Augsburg, the Nine Years War, the Orleans War, the War of the Palatinian Succession, and the War of the English Succession, was a major war fought in Europe and Colonial America from 1688 to 1697, between France and the League of Augsburg - which, by 1689, was known as the "Grand Alliance" when England and others joined. The war was fought to resit French expansionism along the Rhine, as well as, on the part of England, to safeguard the results of the Glorious Revolution from a possible French-backed restoration of James II of England. 1, record 78, English, - War%20of%20the%20Grand%20Alliance

2, record 89, French, - plan%20de%20structure
