CONT

Pancreatitis. Severe clinical pancreatitis following liver transplantation is uncommon. Many patients have a mild ileus and moderate amylasemia (500 I.U./dl) early after liver transplantation, but usually without symptoms or sequelae.

L'amylase sérique provient des acini car il n'existe pratiquement pas de cycle entérohépatique des enzymes pancréatiques. Moins de 1/4 de l'amylase sérique est éliminée par le rein, le reste étant probablement le fait du système réticulo-endothélial. Ceci explique que l'amylasémie s'élève peu en cas d'insuffisance rénale.
