Plus l'angle d'attaque est important, mieux c'est, à condition toutefois que l'angle de sortie ne lui soit pas inférieur.

L'angle d'attaque est modifié par la charge du véhicule, en changeant la taille des pneus (ou même leur pression), en modifiant la suspension ou en ajoutant des accessoires à l'avant (pare-choc, treuil, etc.).
