  • Compartment - Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission
CONT

When used as a pipeline exposure device, the source capsule assembly is projected to the radiographic exposure position by means of a "push-pull" drive cable attached to the lifting at the rear of the exposure device. When the drive cable is in "push-in" position, the source capsule assembly compresses the retaining spring and moves forward to a window in the shielding. When the drive cable is retracted or "pull-back", the retaining spring recoils and moves the source capsule assembly back to the fully shielded position.

  • Tiroir - Commission canadienne de sûreté nucléaire
CONT
