In the event of a pollution incident that affects or threatens to affect the areas of responsibility of both parties, or in the event of a request for assistance to the other party, the OSC [on-scene commander] shall be assisted by a deputy on-scene commander (DOSC) appointed by the party which is not providing the OSC. The DOSC shall also act as the direct liaison between the OSC and the agencies of the Government which the DOSC represents.

The Shared Systems Support Centre (SSSC) was established in Consulting and Audit Canada (CAC), a PWGSC agency, to coordinate and manage the operations of the shared systems on behalf of the Treasury Board Secretariat. The TBS retained the policy and strategic direction functions for the IFMS and other shared systems. The SSSC in Consulting and Audit Canada: provides administrative support to the Cluster Application Managers (i.e. business applications managers); is the centre of expertise for the cluster and application support; administers the cluster's funds and contractual arrangements.

The Cambridge Arctic Shelf Programme (CASP) is an independent, non-profit-making geological research organization based in the University of Cambridge. It originated in 1948 as Cambridge Spitsbergen Expeditions, and was incorporated as CASP in 1975. Initially, support came from companies with an interest in Svalbard and the Barents Shelf. Since then, CASP has greatly increased its scope, diversifying to new areas of research outside the Arctic and to new methods of data presentation.

Major Crown Project that involves the integration, modernization and improvement of systems, facilities and equipment used in providing air traffic services to commercial, military and private aircraft operators across Canada to the year 2000. Implementation of CASP will be accomplished through a series of Major Crown Projects, including the Canadian Automated Air Traffic Service, the Systems Engineering and Integration Project, the Canadian Airspace Management Simulator Project and the Military Automated Air Traffic Systems Project. Public Works and Government Services Canada, Transport Canada and Industry Canada are in charge of the project.
