Tough, compact, dull to semivitreous, opaque quartz rock composed predominantly of impure fine-grained chalcedony or microgranular quartz or of combinations of the two.

OBS

[This rock is] often white or light gray but may be green, blue, pink, red, yellow, brown, or black and occurs as nodular segregations in limestones and dolomites and less commonly as extensive beds.
