The Pacific Institution/Regional Treatment Centre is a multi-level complex located two kilometres south of Abbotsford in the central Fraser Valley, about 80 kilometres east of Vancouver. The Institution opened in 1972 and can house up to 415 inmates. The treatment and reintegration programs and services are developed according to a holistic approach and are based on research on assessment, treatment and correctional services. The Pacific Institution has a regional reception/assessment centre and an intensive program unit.

L'Établissement Pacifique/Centre régional de traitement forment un complexe à niveaux de sécurité multiples, situé à deux kilomètres au sud d'Abbotsford au centre-sud de la vallée du Fraser, à environ 80 kilomètres à l'est de Vancouver. L'Établissement a ouvert ses portes en 1972 et ensemble, ils peuvent accueillir jusqu'à 415 détenus. Les programmes et les services de traitement et de réinsertion sociale y sont conçus selon une méthode holistique. Ils sont fondés sur les recherches dans les domaines de l'évaluation, des traitements et des services correctionnels. L'Établissement du Pacifique est quand à lui constitué du centre régional de réception et d'évaluation, et de l'unité de programmes intensifs.
