Electronic system that links the floors of the American, Boston, Midwest, Pacific, Philadelphia, and New York stock exchanges. The system provides a comparison of bids and offers on the exchanges. A buyer or seller, therefore, can choose the best market. The actual transaction is completed outside the system by telephone or telex.
