Food Freedom Day, February 8, 2005, is the calendar date representing when Canadians have earned enough income to pay the grocery bill for the entire year. The Canadian Federation of Agriculture calculates that it takes just 38 days from January 1st to acquire the income needed to cover annual food expenses (on a per capita basis).
