Il existe des variantes au test de Lasègue, comme celle qui consiste à ajouter une flexion dorsale de la cheville par une prise au niveau des métatarses de la voûte plantaire. Cela augmente la tension mise sur le nerf. Ce test, légèrement différent du test de Lasègue, a été décrit par Bragard.
