The coding software converts the Web page from HTML, the common language of the Internet, to WML, which is optimized for text-only displays. The WAP gateway then prepares the document for wireless transmission.

OBS

Les téléphones WAP permettent d'importer et d'afficher des pages Web, mais ces pages doivent être converties au format WML, car ces téléphones ne permettent pas d'afficher tous les composants, tels que graphiques, sons, etc.
