En sus investigaciones [...], Ernst Engel [...] calculó que para una renta familiar de 800 a 1.000 marcos, el gasto en alimentos era de 64 por 100; en tanto que para un nivel entre 2.400 y 3.000 marcos, se situaba en el 59,90 por 100.
