The OMEA supports every child in Ontario receiving a quality music education taught by a qualified music specialist teacher. OMEA advocates for this with provincial organizations to highlight issues relating to delivering quality music education and the benefits of music for all students. The OMEA connects with and supports music educators through [its] website, quarterly journal, special publications and E-newsletter. OMEA is affiliated with the Canadian Music Educators' Association and is the subject association that represents music education with the Ontario Ministry of Education.
