Paddle Manitoba (PM) is the advocate and instructional organization for recreational and wilderness paddlesports in Manitoba. Founded in 1988 as the Manitoba Recreational Canoeing Association, Paddle Manitoba is a non-profit, incorporated association which seeks to promote the safe and challenging pursuit of all canoeing and kayaking disciplines. [It works] to: promote safe canoeing and kayaking; enable quality instruction through a national standards program; protect the interests of paddlers and [the] natural environment; [and] maintain educational resources through [its] website and newsletter. A federated member of Paddle Canada, Paddle Manitoba participates in the development of paddle sport programs at the provincial and national level.
