The Strategic Action Plan was approved in 2003 by the Executive Committee and posted on the Intranet. The plan was based on a review of the improvements to be made. It is designed to enlarge the pool of bilingual resources and make all managers accountable. The head of each branch must develop his or her own plan; concrete OL [official languages] objectives are included in the managers' 2004-2005 performance agreements. The Department makes use of these performance evaluations to measure progress.

Le Plan d'action stratégique a été approuvé en 2003 par le Comité de gestion, puis affiché dans l'intranet. Le plan a été élaboré à la suite d'un examen des améliorations à apporter. Il vise à accroître le bassin de ressources bilingues et à responsabiliser les gestionnaires. Chaque chef de direction générale doit élaborer son propre plan sectoriel. Des objectifs concrets relatifs aux LO [langues officielles] sont inclus dans les accords de rendement 2004-2005 des cadres. Le Ministère mise sur ces évaluations de rendement pour mesurer les progrès.
