Le premier terme français est employé pour désigner la prestation fiscale des individus et des familles à faibles revenus de travail ou de travail autonome alors que le deuxième terme est plutôt utilisé pour désigner la prestation fiscale des personnes handicapées qui comprend un montant de base et un supplément.
