CONT

The boiler feed pumps (BFP) take suction from the deaerator storage tank and raise the feedwater pressure to between 4 and 7 MPa. The pump discharges the high-pressure feedwater to the high-pressure (HP) feedheaters. The HP feedheaters heat the feedwater to about 170°C. HP feedheater operation and construction are similar to that of the LP feedheaters. Extraction steam from the HP turbine normally supplies the heating medium.

CONT
