In this form of subscription, the buyer is usually allowed to cancel his order or limit it to a smaller number of coins or sets upon issuance, while the issuing mint guaranties its prices until shipment or guaranties the price of the whole set of coins if paid in a single payment before a stated date. But when the commitment involves precious metal coins to be issued in more than a year, it is possible that the prices be established only once the coins have been issued. L'achat par souscription sous-entend habituellement confirmation de l'intention d'acheter au moment de l'émission du produit; l'acheteur par souscription a donc droit de se désister alors que, de son côté, la Monnaie émettrice garantit habituellement ses prix jusqu'à la livraison ou garantit un prix global pour l'ensemble des pièces si payées en un seul paiement avant une date donnée.
