Traitement du signal. Linéarité : contrôle de la dynamique des récepteurs par paramétrage des gains. Mise en œuvre de lois d'atténuation dites GVT (gain variable dans le temps) qui évite la saturation en zone proche. Cette mesure est efficace sur les échos de sol mais, étant appliquée sans distinction d'angle de site (il n'existe pas de discrimination dans le plan vertical), elle est défavorable aux cibles utiles proches.
