Said of the texture of a rock in which some of the crystal components are aggregated in clusters. This texture differs from "glomeroporphyritic" and "cumulophyric" in that it need not involve a porphyritic rock or have the mineral clusters form the phenocrysts.

La synneusis est l'association par juxtaposition de deux ou plusieurs cristaux d'une même espèce en suspension dans un magma. Elle est fréquente dans des roches volcaniques. Le contact des deux cristaux se fait normalement par leurs faces principales, et le plus souvent l'association s'opère en orientation cristallographique parallèle ou suivant des orientations de macle.
