Type de désaxation tibio-tarsienne dans laquelle l'axe de la jambe et celui du talon forment un angle ouvert en dedans, dépendant d'un vice de l'articulation sous-astragalienne ou d'un trouble musculaire (hypertonicité des jambiers ou du triceps). Le varus calcanéen peut compenser l'abaissement de la palette métatarsienne dans le pied creux. Il est source de douleur, car il supprime la désaxation tibio-astragalo-calcanéenne.
