Les virus Ring spot ILAR ou isometric Labile Ring spot viruses se caractérisent par leur forme parasphérique, leur fragilité. Ils sont transmissibles par le pollen et partiellement par la graine. Ils provoquent surtout des taches nécrotiques sur feuilles, des nécroses de bourgeons, des baisses de vigueur et de production. Les principaux agents infectieux appartenant à ce groupe sont : 1) le virus des taches annulaires (Necrotic Ring spot virus - NRSV) 2) le virus du rabougrissement du prunier (Prune Dwarf virus - PDV) 3) le virus de la marbrure zonale (Line Pattern virus - LPV).
