Construction Inspection. Once work is under way, the architect inspects construction, as necessary, to check progress of work, assure compliance with contract requirements, and guide the contractor in interpretation of the contract documents for full performance of his contract.

Ces visites étant attendues, et leur déroulement se produisant souvent sur un itinéraire déterminé, facilitent trop, en effet, le camouflage de ce que l'entrepreneur ou son chef de chantier tient particulièrement à ne pas montrer. Le maître de l'œuvre ne se prive d'ailleurs généralement pas de visites impromptues qui lui donnent un reflet plus réel de l'activité courante des entreprises.

The act of visiting a site so as to become familiar with the progress of the work and determine if, in general, the work is proceeding in accordance with the contract documents.

CONT

PWGSC [Public Works and Government Services Canada] will monitor the contractor's performance by analyzing status and performance reports, and by conducting site inspections with the contractor to determine performance against KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
