Chlorine dioxide manufacture. Chlorine dioxide is an explosive gas and cannot be prepared safely in undiluted form nor can it be liquified for transport and storage, therefore it must be manufactured on site. The processes that have been developed which generate chlorine dioxide in dilute aqueous solution by reducing sodium chlorate in a strong acid solution with a reducing agent usually sulphur dioxide, methanol, sodium/hydrogen chloride and lastly hydrogen peroxide. 1, record 1, English, - chlorine%20dioxide%20manufacture

Fabrication du bioxyde de chlore. Le bioxyde de chlore est un gaz explosif et il ne peut être préparé sécuritairement sous forme non diluée ni être liquéfié en vue du transport ou du stockage. Il faut par conséquent le fabriquer sur place.
