The Government of Canada has awarded Calgary, Alberta the honour of presenting our country's bid to host Expo 2005. But the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) - with 48 member-countries from around the world - is expected to choose the 2005 Exposition host in 1997. Canada 2005 Exposition Corporation, the body charged with obtaining the right to hold a world exposition in Calgary in 2005, will be sending a delegation to meet with the BIE in Paris, France, December 12 and 13, 1995.
