The Indian Special Constable Program was subsequently created, also known as the RCMP 3(b) program. This program was administered by the RCMP [Royal Canadian Mounted Police] with a 60/40 cost sharing by the federal government and the provinces and had a number of objectives that were similar to those established later in the First Nations Policing Policy (FNPP). Le Programme des gendarmes spéciaux des bandes, également connu sous le nom de «Programme 3(b) de la GRC», est alors créé.
