Les «nappes adjacentes» [...] sont des nappes situées côte à côte et séparées par une zone de drainage commune vers laquelle se dirigent les filets liquides des deux nappes. Il est à remarquer que dans cette zone de drainage, l'eau se trouve à une profondeur plus grande sous le sol. Mais le débit y est nécessairement plus élevé.
