English

Subject field(s)
  • Urban Planning
  • Urban Housing
CONT

Along the limited access highway a visual building to roadway connection serves no purpose. There is no opportunity to motor directly from the high speed roadway to any adjoining building. Furthermore, the noise and safety concerns generated by high speed traffic provided additional engineering justification for the veiling and occasional walling of the interstate highway system. The result is the complete disassociation of building from street infrastructure.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Aménagement urbain
  • Habitation et logement (Urbanisme)
CONT
