Transport Canada. The Airports Divestiture Program is a key component of the National Airports Policy (NAP) which was announced in 1994. It calls for the transfer of airports in the National Airports System (NAS), as well as regional/local and small airports, to local community interests. The policy enables communities to take greater advantage of their airports, reduce costs, tailor levels of service to local demand, and attract new and different types of business.

Transports Canada. Le Programme de cession des aéroports est une composante clé de la Politique nationale des aéroports (PNA) annoncée en 1994. Il prévoit la cession des aéroports du Réseau national d'aéroports (RNA), des aéroports régionaux-locaux et des petits aéroports à des intérêts locaux. La Politique permet aux collectivités de tirer davantage profit de leurs aéroports, de réduire les coûts, d'adapter les niveaux de service aux besoins locaux et d'attirer de nouveaux et différents types d'entreprises.
