On distingue donc l'aberration "diurne" et l'aberration "annuelle". L'aberration diurne résulte de la combinaison de la vitesse de lumière avec la vitesse de la rotation diurne de l'observateur et l'aberration annuelle, avec la vitesse du mouvement annuel.
