A worldwide network of switching centers that provides secure telephone communications.

Established in 1967, AUTOSEVOCOM was the DoD's primary encrypted voice communications system; it was updated in 1976 to AUTOSEVOCOM II. The network is used by the CIA, Department of State, White House, and DoD users. It is now being replaced by the Secure Voice System (SVS), a state-of-the-art National Security Agency program that features worldwide secure voice and graphics conferencing capabilities, Agency.
