[Chantier d'exploitation à retrait («Shrinkage stoping»)]. On peut amener aisément le minerai le long de la pente oblique du chantier qui requiert peu de boisage et peu de triage. Quand les blocs de minerai sont trop volumineux, il suffit de les fragmenter de nouveau avec des mines forées à très faible profondeur, dites pétards («block holing»).
